Acceptance is determined by an enrollment drawing. Priority is given to returning students and siblings of current and past students, then children of alumni, then new students. Additionally, Winchester residents have priority over non-residents. Typically, we accept 25-35 new families every year. Financial aid is available for families who may need assistance.

Open House is Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. We encourage you to attend and learn about WCNS, meet teachers and parents, and schedule a school visit with your child. We will be accepting applications for new students from January 24 until February 1, 2008.

Please return your application and $50 application fee to Winchester Cooperative Nursery School, 478 Main Street, Winchester, MA, 01890, by Friday, February 1, 2008. The drawing for new students will take place the following week and parents will be notified of the results immediately by letter. Class lists and wait lists will also be posted at the school by Friday, February 8, 2008.

New families are given until Thursday, March 14, 2008 to confirm whether their child will be attending WCNS in the fall. This is done by returning your completed Acceptance of Admission form and first tuition installment to Winchester Cooperative Nursery School, Attention: Enrollment, 478 Main Street, Winchester, MA 01890, before March 14. Lunch Bunch program applications and tuition payments are also due at this time. Please note that financial aid applications are due Thursday, March 3, 2008.

Please note this important March 14th date. If we do not receive your acceptance and tuition deposit, we will fill the space from the class wait list. Should an opening occur, families on the wait list will be notified in numerical order. If you choose not to accept a space offered to your child at WCNS, we ask for the sake of those on the wait list that you notify us as soon as possible.
